Help with a first-time U.S. passport (DS-11) or a renewal (DS-82), done right the first time.

A first U.S. passport is applied for in person on Form DS-11. If you already have a recent adult passport in good condition, you can usually renew by mail on Form DS-82. We help you use the right form and prepare everything.

Small mistakes, like a photo that does not meet the rules, or signing the form before you are told to, cause delays. We check it all before you go.

## Questions

**Can I renew by mail?**

Only if your most recent passport is undamaged, was issued at age 16+ within the last 15 years, and in your current name. Otherwise you apply in person with DS-11.

**How long does it take?**

Routine processing is several weeks plus mailing time, so apply well before any travel. Faster options exist for an extra fee.
