Brand Assets
The logo, icons, colours and usage rules for Chowdhury & Associates LLC. If a printer, a directory or a partner asks for our branding, send them this page.
The name
The ampersand is the correct written form and the one on the logo. Google lists us with "and" spelled out, so if you see it written that way it is not a mistake, but please use the ampersand. Tap the icon to copy.
Logo and icons
Every file is available as a vector (SVG) and as a picture (PNG). Use the SVG wherever it is accepted, because it stays sharp at any size including on a printed sign. The direct link under each file can be pasted straight into another website.
Full logo
Vector, or 2400 x 960 PNG
The default: the mark and the name together. Use this wherever there is room for it.
The white version is for placing on navy or any dark background.

Vector, or 1024 x 1024 PNG
The mark without the words. Use it where the name is already written beside it, or where the space is square.
The white version is for placing on navy or any dark background.

Square logo, white ground
512 x 512 PNG
The icon on a solid white square. This is the file Google reads for the business listing, so it must not be swapped for a differently shaped image. Send this one when a directory or a social profile asks for a square logo.
This size exists only as a PNG. The SVG button gives you the icon vector, which is what it was made from.
https://chowdhuryassociates.com/brand/ca-logo.pngFavicon
Vector, or 32 x 32 PNG
The browser tab icon and the pinned-tab mask. The real file changes itself: navy for someone using their browser in light mode, near-white for someone in dark mode, so the tab icon stays visible either way. Shown here in white on navy, which is why this is the one preview on a dark ground.
https://chowdhuryassociates.com/brand/ca-favicon.svgApp icon, 512px
512 x 512 PNG, white ground
For app listings and anywhere a large square raster icon is asked for.
This size exists only as a PNG. The SVG button gives you the icon vector, which is what it was made from.
https://chowdhuryassociates.com/brand/icon-512.pngApp icon, 192px
192 x 192 PNG, white ground
The smaller app-listing and home-screen size.
This size exists only as a PNG. The SVG button gives you the icon vector, which is what it was made from.
https://chowdhuryassociates.com/brand/icon-192.pngBrand colours
The brand is three colours: navy, gold and white. These are the ones to use on anything representing the business. Read straight from the website's stylesheet when this page was built, so they are exact.
Navy
#130f4fThe primary brand colour. Headings, the footer, dark surfaces, and the logo on light backgrounds.
Gold
#d4af37The brand accent. Primary buttons and highlighted words.
White
#ffffffThe third brand colour, not just the absence of one. The logo is white on navy, and white is the ground the whole site sits on.
Which colours may go on which
Two of these six combinations are unreadable, and both of them look perfectly fine on a designer's monitor. The number is the measured contrast ratio. Anything at 4.5:1 or above is readable at any size; below 3:1 it should not carry words at all. Many of our clients read on an old phone in daylight, so this is not a technicality.
17.4:1Use freelyThe default for print and light backgrounds.
17.4:1Use freelyThe default for dark backgrounds. This is the footer and the header.
8.3:1Use freelyThe correct way to use gold as a filled surface. Every gold button on the site is navy text.
8.3:1Use freelyGold as an accent on a dark ground. Safe.
2.1:1NeverNever use gold for text or icons on white. It looks fine on a good monitor and disappears on a phone in daylight.
2.1:1NeverNever put white text on a gold surface. Use navy.
The short version
- Navy on white, or white on navy. This is the brand almost everywhere.
- Gold as a filled surface with navy on top of it, the way the buttons work.
- Gold as a small accent on navy: a rule, an underline, an icon.
- Never gold text on white, and never white text on gold.
- Never recolour the logo. Use the navy file on light backgrounds and the white file on dark ones, and do not stretch, rotate, add a shadow, or place it on a busy photo.
- Gold is an accent, not a background for a page. It is the one colour that stops looking like this brand when there is a lot of it.
