No Visa Required (NVR) Processing

For U.S. citizens of Bangladeshi origin to travel to Bangladesh without a visa.

Overview

The No Visa Required (NVR) endorsement is a stamp placed in your U.S. passport that lets a person of Bangladeshi origin (and eligible family) enter and stay in Bangladesh without a visa. It is valid as long as that U.S. passport is valid.

You complete an online NVR form and submit it with your U.S. passport and proof of Bangladeshi origin. Each time you get a new U.S. passport, you need a new NVR.

Frequently asked questions

Does my old NVR still work after I renew my U.S. passport?

No. The NVR is tied to the passport it is stamped in, so you need a new NVR for a new U.S. passport.

Should I send original documents?

Only the U.S. passport to be stamped. Send copies of the proof-of-origin documents, not the originals.
